The Embassy of the United States of America is delighted to announce that, effective immediately, Qatari officials and their family members traveling to the United States on official business with the U.S. Government or the United Nations will be issued visas valid for 24 months, the maximum validity allowed by U.S. law.

“Extending the length of validity for visas issued to Qatari

officials is just another reflection of the strong and warm bilateral relationship enjoyed by the United States and Qatar,” said U.S. Ambassador Joseph LeBaron.

“This development will reduce the number of times that our Qatari colleagues and their families will need to request visas from the Embassy,” he added.

In return, the Government of the State of Qatar has also agreed to extend the validity of official visas for visiting U.S. officials.
