Official Travel for all Passport Types (A, G)

If you are traveling to the United States on behalf of your government for official reasons, you are on the right page.  This includes both temporary and permanent statuses.

Prepare

• Photo: Recent color passport size with white background and one electronic photo for your online application.  (JPEG file format / 240 KB or less)  

REMINDER:  No head covers except for religious purposes.  

Complete:

• One Application per person (also for each child):

 https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/  (Please print confirmation page.)

• An Official Letter from a government office stating, name, date of travel,  and reason of travel
• Passport 

Application Drop Off:

Official Travelers do not require an interview for Official U.S. visas. 

The application can be dropped off to the U. S. Embassy any Sunday through Thursday between 8:00 – 10:00 am.  A personal appearance is not required.
