To assist the traveling public and U.S. citizens resident in Qatar, the U.S. Embassy electronically issues consular specific information and warden messages for Qatar. Warden messages contain information that is very useful for residents and travelers. If you plan to travel to or reside in Qatar, please click here to sign-up.
Becoming a Warden Each U.S. Embassy or Consulate has a warden network, where a U.S. citizen volunteers to represent the American community for a particular city, region, area, corporation, or other organization. Wardens are sometimes called upon to disseminate valuable information to U.S. citizens in their network. Our Embassy designates warden zones primarily by organization and secondarily by geography. If your organization or corporation currently has 20 or more American citizens in Qatar, either temporarily or full residents, including offshore or remote locations, please contact us at dohawarden@state.gov to see if we can designate a separate warden zone for you.
