Notaries
The Consular Section can perform various notarial services, including the administration of an oath, certification of true copies, and authentications. Please note that the Consular Section cannot locally authenticate a document notarized in the United States unless it has first been authenticated by the Department of State in Washington, D.C.
The fees for notarial services are 30 US dollars or QR equivalent for the first page and 20 US dollars or QR equivalent for each additional page of that document. If you are having more than one document notarized, the first page of each document will be 30 US dollars or QR equivalent.
The fees for certified true copies and authentications are 30 US dollars or QR equivalent for the first page and 20 US dollars or QR equivalent for each additional page. If you are having more than one document certified or authenticated, the first page of each document will be 30 US dollars or QR equivalent and 20 US dollars for each additional page.
Starting May 11, requests for all notary, authentication and documentary services are made by appointment only. Please visit our appointment system at:

American citizens should arrive at the U.S. Embassy at the appointed time and be fully prepared to submit the documents to be notarized along with valid picture identification. Please note that Embassy employees are not able to serve as witnesses for any notary services.
