The U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) of the Department of State is pleased to announce, pending availability of funds, support for civil society reform initiatives that support the Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) Initiative and the Forum for the Future process. In particular, MEPI seek to support projects that are consistent with the principles and goals of BMENA and the Forum process and translate them into tangible projects. Eligible applicants include local representatives of civil society, including: non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and private sector organizations based in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, West Bank and Gaza, and Yemen.
