General Information

The Information Resource Center (IRC) is the reference and outreach service of the U.S. Embassy in Qatar, specializing in current U.S. Policy, legislation, trade, social and cultural issues. The IRC is located in the Library of the Embassy. The IRC provides research and reference services to professionals, research scholars, students and government officials who wish to be informed on U.S. foreign and domestic policies and important trends in contemporary American society.

The IRC also posts a quarterly list of articles of general interest published in various American publications by American authors. Articles of your choice from this list can then be sent to you as per the request faxed by you.

A new section on Electronic Advance Documents Service (the latest in U.S. Congressional hearings, U.S.Government Research, Think Tank reports and Websites) is also available here.

Upon request, the IRC provides general or subject-oriented briefings on research via the Internet.

IRC Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
