Hours of Operation

Our general hours for visas are 7:45 am to 10:30 am Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The Nonimmigrant (Temporary Stay) Visa Unit accepts applications Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, between 7:30 am and 10:30 am by appointment. Students and Exchange Visitors do not require an appointment but must arrive at the U.S. Embassy by 9 a.m.  Please remember that applicants who arrive 30 minutes after their appointment time will not be admitted to the Consular Section. For more information on our NIV process please click on our "How to apply for a visa" section.

The Immigrant Visa Unit offers interviews by appointment only. As soon as your case is ready for an interview, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.  Applicants can drop off requested documents on Sundays between 7:30 am - 9:30 am.  Immigrant Visa Petitions are accepted only on Tuesdays between 7:30 am - 9:30 am.
