Fulbright New Century Scholarship Program (NCS)

 

The Fulbright New Century Scholars Program (NCS) for academic year 2009-2010, is a global program that annually brings together 25-30 research scholars and professionals from the U.S. and participating countries around the world.  Scholars engage in collaborative thinking and multi-disciplinary research on a theme of global significance. This year’s topic is “The University as Innovation Driver and Knowledge Center." Please note that grants originating in Qatar are only available for Qatari nationals and that the level of the applicant’s English must be sufficient to work in an academic institution in the US.  For applications and   more information, please visit this website:   http://www.cies.org/NCS/ncs_description.htm#Summary 

Deadline for application is November 30, 2008.  Awards are announced by February 2009 and the scholarship program begins with an orientation meeting in May 2009; followed by a mid-term meeting in October 2009; and a final plenary meeting in April 2010.
